I want to start by saying it can often be hard to
differentiate hoof soundness problems and higher up problems – and I am sure a
lot of them go hand in hand. Nothing beats a thorough veterinary exam by a
highly experienced vet. I generally do some real simple tests to help me
help my clients narrow down their issues and help determine their need for more
follow up help.
Generally when I get a new client contacting me because of
a soundness issue I hear about one of 3 things –
Navicular, Founder, or just
Unknown Hoof Soreness. I am not
a vet and no one should confuse me as such – I am just going to provide some
basic information here.
