Hoof Infections
I have no time to go into this in detail now – but if your horses are suffering from some sort of crud – be it shriveled frogs, thrush, or just lack of total frog health – please soak in a soak boot for 20-40 minutes with diluted Lysol. I am referring to the concentrated Lysol product in small brown bottle – please dilute per bottle directions.
If you have one hoof with a problem, you likely have more than one hoof with a problem, please soak all feet if you have time. Some horses respond after one soak, some need a soak 3 days a week for 2 weeks. Please consult with me and focus on soaking your horses’ worst feet.
